Research Interests: Flow and solute transport in heterogeneous porous media
Optimization of groundwater remediation systems under uncertainty
Theoretical modelling of flow and solute transport :
- Upscaling methods for permeability
- Upscaling methods for longitudinal dispersivity (stochastic & fractal approaches, inclusion models)
- Theoretical modelling of solute migration using non-Fickian models (Telegraph equations, Mobile-immobile models, Fractional-advection-dispersion equations, Continuous Time Random Walks)
Simulation of flow and transport at the laboratory scale :
- Simulation of remediation systems and monitoring networks using intermediate-scale laboratory models
- Measurement of local longitudinal and transverse dispersivities at the core scale, using column experiments
- Simulation of flow and transport in heterogeneous porous media using intermediate-scale laboratory models
- Comparison of field-scale tracer tests in heterogeneous media using intermediate-scale laboratory models
